Cancer Screening Highlighted by the NFL's Crucial Catch
The UF Health Proton Therapy Institute was honored to partner with UF Health and staff a booth at the Jacksonville Jaguars game on Oct. 27 during the NFL’s Crucial Catch. In October, the NFL promotes prevention and early detection of cancer, which can impact anyone at any age and increases access to lifesaving cancer screenings.
The Institute’s team hosted a selfie station complete with cancer ribbon props and selfie frames, plus gave away Jaguars hand fans and sunscreen to anyone stopping by the Fan Entertainment Zone prior to the game. The giveaways were perfect for an unseasonably warm day. The team was delighted to meet so many members of the community and was especially pleased the Roar of the Jaguars stopped by to take a photo in support of the goal of supporting cancer awareness and early screenings.
