Oncology Treatment Coordinator (OTC) | UF Health Proton Therapy Institute

The UF Health Proton Therapy Institute (UFHPTI), located in Jacksonville, Florida, is excited to announce an opening for an Oncology Treatment Coordinator (OTC). This position plays a key role in providing a wide variety of administrative and support services to the Adult Nursing Department and UFHPTI Patient Population prior to and during radiation therapy treatment.

As an Oncology Treatment Coordinator, you will be responsible for referring patients for outside appointments and services, rescheduling patients, explaining different appointments and relaying important information in a way that patients can understand. OTC’s will serve as liaison between the Patient Intake department and RN Case Managers for incoming and on treatment patients. OTC’s will work directly with assigned nursing teams and Physicians to assist with non-RN functions. OTC’s will act as a highly effective resource to patients, providers, and internal and external staff, therefore excellent customer service is required in all interactions.

Key Qualifications:

Strong teamwork mindset, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to take initiative and be a self starter who can work independently at times
Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and organize workflow
Must be able to handle busy or stressful situations in a professional, customer service focused manner
Excellent computer skills are required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Two years of prior experience working in a healthcare facility preferred.
